All courses offered through the Morris Online Learning program use a Course Management System. Through Summer 2019, the University of Minnesota system will be transitioning all course sites from Moodle to our new centrally supported Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas.
Support for software required in Online Learning classes is provided by the Morris campus Help Desk to registered students only.
ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE NEEDED
Courses within the Online Learning program make use of a wide variety of features and functions to create multimedia coursework with a strong focus on direct interaction between students and faculty. Some courses may use additional software, while other courses may be accessible entirely through an Internet browser. Some courses will make use of your computer's multimedia capabilities, while others will be primarily based in text and written interactions.
The Office of Information Technology offers discounts on a variety of technology products to students, faculty, staff, and departments, including software, computers, printers, cellphones, Internet and telephone services, and more. Some software titles are offered at no charge while others are available at greatly reduced prices
